With everything from open ocean surfing to inland waterways and flatwater cruising, Oleron offers unlimited potential for riders of all levels and for fun paddling regardless of the weather conditions. Oleron is the largest island of the French Atlantic coast, where life is always good, whether you are a surfer, a windsurfer, or simply enthusiastic about the sea. The richness of its island life, its temperate climate, as well as the diversity and quality of local products such as Marennes Oleron oysters or the apéritif drink Pineau des Charentes, give the location a unique character. Founded in 1988, Diabolo Fun Watersports School is based at an ocean-side site which allows all forms of sea-going activities (from training in skippering a catamaran to the highest level of windsurfing). “Diabolo Fun” owes this versatility to the subtle interplay of the tides. Off-shore in the magnificent sandy bay there are rocky plateaus forming a natural lagoon at low tide: a natural protection perfectly suited to all kinds of training experience. The decor changes at high tide when the presence of the Atlantic swell makes surfing practicable.
Besides its base camp, “Diabolo Fun” makes use of several other locations on the Oleron "north shore", which we will keep secret until your arrival!
